A Postcard Traveling Through Time – The Sokols of a Bygone Era

A historical storytelling reel inspired by archival footage and photographs of Sokol mountaineers from the period of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. The project transforms historical material into an engaging digital story, offering viewers a glimpse into the spirit, values and outdoor culture of an earlier generation.

Through careful historical research, visual storytelling and modern video editing, the reel recreates the atmosphere of a time when hiking, physical culture and the Sokol movement played an important role in community life. Archival imagery is combined with cinematic presentation to create a nostalgic journey through history.

Designed for social media platforms, the project demonstrates how historical archives can be transformed into educational and visually engaging content that preserves cultural memory and introduces forgotten stories to new audiences.
